G.I.F.T. Innovating for Tomorrow (G.I.F.T) is a 501(c)(3) Charitable Organization

The mission and purpose of G.I.F.T is to provide mentorship for girls to reach their untapped potential. This is achieved through a process that motivates them through participation in talks and activities to raise their self-esteem. Our process supports them and encourages them to pursue their education to their highest academic potential. This mentorship is the GIFT that keeps on giving, as part of their commitment to the process includes becoming mentors themselves, and doing the same for young girls in their communities.

Girls Innovating for Tomorrow (G.I.F.T) is a 501(c)(3) Charitable Organization

The aim of the Girls Innovating for Tomorrow (GIFT) Foundation, Inc., is to motivate teenage girls to recognize their intrinsic power and their collective ability to contribute to and benefit from an emerging resource-rich Guyana. Through the GIFT Scholarship Fund, it also aims to contribute to the tertiary education of as many as possible, with the hope that they see themselves as global citizens and that they use their intellect and talent to better their world. To me, the G.I.F.T. Foundation has not only granted me the opportunity to pursue higher education as an international student, it signifies a remarkable gateway to endless possibilities. It’s more than just financial support; it symbolizes a deep-seated belief in the potential of young Guyanese women. As an international student, the support from G.I.FT transcends geographical boundaries, offering me access to educational experiences that might otherwise have remained beyond my grasp. It embodies an ethos of inclusiveness, demonstrating that knowledge and personal growth have no confines or borders. This foundation’s investment in my education and future extends far beyond academics. It represents a genuine commitment to promoting cross-cultural exchange, mutual esteem, and the understanding that diverse viewpoints enrich the fabric of learning. With Ms. Cheryl E Noel’s and G.I.F.T’s dedicated donors,  I’m provided the opportunity to contribute my unique background and insights to the worldwide academic arena. Moreover, this foundation’s backing has created for me a sisterhood of like-minded individuals who share similar ambitions and values. This interconnected community of scholars, bolstered by the foundation’s support, fosters a sense of unity and belonging despite our varied experiences and upbringings. It illustrates the power of education in forging connections that stretch well beyond the classroom. In essence, this foundation has not solely granted me access to higher education; it has also ignited within me a flame of gratitude and accountability. G.I.F.T’s unwavering belief in my potential inspires me to excel academically, contribute positively to my campus and community, and ultimately pay forward their generosity by effecting change in the lives of others. To me, a foundation that has enabled me to pursue higher education as an international student embodies the essence of unity, education, and empowerment.

The GIFT foundation has provided me with one of the best support systems a person can need. Being a part of this foundation has taught me the importance of sisterhood and sticking together! It has been a pleasure so far to be a part of a great community of people to share so many memories through adventures, celebrations, inspiring others and even bonding over the little things of life. To me, GIFT means friendship, sisterhood, inspiration, and purpose. Being a part of this foundation has shown me the beautiful and unique qualities different challenges and experiences can produce. We have encountered so much together, from laughter to tears, conflicts to cohesiveness, all to enhance our kinship and to better understand each other. I believe each member of the GIFT foundation is exceptional and will do great things, and I am very pleased to have shared spaces with them (my peers).
